SOUND IN CUFFS

In this extract from cuffs, we hear a variety of different sounds. We can hear lots of other police officers talking through their radios and we can also hear sirens. As they are talking through the radios, we hear a description of someone who the police are trying to track down, they describe a man with dark hair, wearing a brown coat and dark trousers. This shows us how busy the police are because they have stopped and they are already trying to find someone else. This shows the effect of realism for what they are doing in this episode could be happening right now in real life or an equivalent off.

We also hear some police sirens from the car chase, earlier on in the episode. The background music was added in which made it seem really intense as we do not know what is going to happen next. This siren effects are loud and brings attention to the audience as it makes them feel like they are involved in the scene.

We worked on sound in the lesson and you know that you have to identify 'at least two' sounds and write about them fully.
You know that the terms to identify include dialogue, voiceover, music, diegetic sound and so on. This is skimpy work to say the least.
